How do you ensure that the Roomba robotic floor vac, the most popular robot in history, becomes an essential item in every household and not just last year's fad?

Together with iRobot's marketers and roboticists, we mapped out a series of alternative scenarios for the future. Then, based on insights from in-home ethnographies and quantitative research, we created a plan for dramatically increasing sales volume and a roadmap for future product innovations.
